Your creative in your ads is so important to catching attention in the newsfeed. The more image and video content you have, the more you have to test in ads.
One of the first steps in our onboarding process is to collect all of the client's media assets, so the images and videos that we can use to create Facebook and Instagram ads with. The more content that a client has available, typically the better success we see them having because more content means that we can make more ads, which means that we can change the creative up more frequently, which prevents it from getting stale and helps keep ad costs down. And the more testing we can do, which helps us get learnings faster.
So if you're planning on doing Facebook and Instagram advertising, or you just want to change up your creative a lot more frequently, I would recommend investing in getting some good content done related to your brand and your company. You can hire a videographer and I would recommend a videographer over a photographer because video tends to perform better in advertising than images. You can also do a lot of your own filming if you've got a good phone and you've got good lighting, you can get a lot of your own shots that can be also used in advertising.
You can also ask your customers to send you content. User generated content can work really well in ads as it also adds an extra element of social proof showing that there's people that are engaged with your brand and creating content around it.
